While I can see your point that it is nice for a site visitor to have all craftspeople in one place, once a customer has found a piece that they like it should be as easy as possible to get more information. Perhaps there could be a link on each item page that says something like:

For more detail about this piece visit [link to item page on craftpersons website].

This link could even open in a new smaller window on top of the custommade.com window so that the visitor could easily close it and return to custommade.com if they desired. This would make it very easy for those visitors who want to go to the craftspersons website, would make the craftpeople happy because they will probably get more visitor to their site from Custommade.com, and would keep custommade.com happy because their site is still open in the larger window.

Bottom line is: the visitor to custommade.com should not have to hunt around for a link to the craftspersons website. There should be link on every page. The point is to make it as easy as possible for customers to contact craftspeople and get information.
