Let this be a lesson – DIY gone awry

When you can’t seem to find the right piece of furniture to fit your space, it’s tempting to try to just do it yourself. But unless you know what you’re doing, the results can be pretty comical.
This is what we came up with when we built a base for a few extra tabletops to create two more desks in our office.
Check out the exposed joinery (the screws)! It reminded us why it makes sense to pay someone who actually knows what they are doing.

You’re not setting a very good example. I hope you’ll be hiring one of the many woodworkers who patronize your site to build some respectable bases. Some functional, affordable knock down (for easy shipping) bases could be made from a nice hardwood in almost no time. Call or email for a quote!
