2010 Furniture Society Conference
Last week, we attended the 2010 Furniture Society Conference, Fusions: Minds & Hands Shaping Our Future at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge. The conference, held inside the Kresge Auditorium, considered to be an architectural work of art in itself, focused on bringing together every aspect of furniture making; past, present, and future. The keynote address, “The Value of Working with Your Hands” was given by Ray Magliozzi of NPR’s Car Talk, a well known mechanic, and accomplished woodworker.
Our president Mike, and the rest of us here at CustomMade.com would like to congratulate and welcome Alexander Krutsky, the winner of our free premier package, to the CustomMade community.
Alexander will be joining the ranks of CustomMade artisans along with Don Laporte of Don Laporte Fine Woodworking, and Richard Oedel of Fort Point Cabinetmakers, to name a few who are both CustomMade.com subscribers and Furniture Society members!
Are you a subscriber AND a member of the Furniture Society? Let us know! We’d love to mention you in this post!
