Hanging Jewelry Boxes

Wall Clocks

Custom wall clocks can do much more than tell time.  John Herbert, Boston Furniture Collaborative, created this cherry wall clock with a maple face and brass numbers and hands to complement a client’s contemporary home and its ocean view.   The clock can also be illuminated at night for a dramatic effect.  Imagine this piece harmonizing the home’s design with the view and the sound of its mechanism combined with the sound of the surf.  Why settle for a generic time-keeping device that you can hang just anywhere?  A wall clock can be custom made to accent the design scheme of any part of your home.

Serving Trays

Jigsaw Puzzles

Think of custom jigsaw puzzles as interactive custom wall art.  J C Ayer & Company Hardwood Jigsaw Puzzles can create custom puzzles from customers’ photographs and can even include special dropout lettering and custom made individual figure pieces.  This example of the artisan’s work, “Impressionist Jigsaw Puzzle (Janvier),” has an interesting story behind it.  James Ayer bought the original artwork, “Sugarcane,” by Janvier, in the 1960s but knows nothing about the artist other than the name and that the artist is/was probably a woman.  Google searches haven’t yielded more information.  Does anyone know anything about this work or the artist?  Post a comment here or send a message to Mr. Ayer.
