Inspired by the oval, asymmetrical shape of a bird’s egg, the egg dish by Kaminer Haislip is made from hammered sheet silver with a square sterling wire base.  The receptacle was finished to a warm glow with steel wool, and the planishing marks created by the hammer were left on the surface, giving the piece an organic texture.  This versatile object can be used to store jewelry or for other purposes in the bathroom or kitchen.  You can commission this piece in a larger size, too.
