CustomMade’s first day at the AWFS Fair 2011

Phew, it is hot here in Vegas! A whopping 106 degrees Fahrenheit on our first day at the Las Vegas Convention Center, but there’s plenty of cool stuff to check out inside the exhibition hall already.

The Association of Woodworking & Furnishings Suppliers is the premier trade organization in the country for makers of anything connected to commercial and home furnishings. Half of the show is devoted to power tools and new technologies for making, and the other other half showcases up-and-coming products and companies.

Here’s our booth: we’re holding down the fort as the only on-line marketing space devoted specifically to these industries, and we’re proud to be here talking to people and spreading the word about how we spread the word about local businesses.

We’re also proud to be sponsoring the 2011 Fresh Wood Competition – an industry-sponsored competition for high school and post-secondary students on track to begin a career as serious woodworkers or in related industries. The winner will take home industry recognition as well as cash and tool prizes to get their own business started.
