What is a dulcimer, you wonder? Well Jay’s new one pictured above is an Appalachian Mountain Dulcimer, a fretted string instrument that originated in the American folk music tradition. My dad had one in the house when we were kids and I was proud play one song and one song only on it: “Groovy Kind of Love”. It’s really fun to learn Appalachian dulcimer, even for the not-so-musically-virtuosic like myself. You can order one in the traditional teardrop shape or the classic hourglass shape, for a timeless and eye-catching addition to your musical instrument collection.

The custom process is a chance for you to get involved in the actual  creation of your purchase. You discuss your needs with each maker and the finished product will be designed to reflect your requests. From materials used, to particular functionality requests, to design details, to shipping or delivery arrangements.
