Glass-Top Macassar Ebony Cube Table

David Kiernan is a furniture maker from Cranston, RI who makes stylized furniture that’s unlike anything you’ve seen before. Inspired by Art-Deco, Modern, Asian and the Arts and Crafts era, but all with a unique spin.

Here’s my favorite piece by David. It’s called “Cube Table” and is made from macassar ebony with black lacquered mahogany legs and aluminum accents.

David was an engineer who found himself unfulfilled with his work. He was inspired to try furniture making after attending an American Crafts Council show. He enrolled in The Worcester Center for Crafts, for two years, to study furniture design and construction and now runs his own successful furniture making business called David Kiernan Furniture Design.
