The ZigZag Ergonomic Chair by Randy Weersing Furniture Designs
How do you fit a zigzag line into an ergonomic chair design?
CustomMade artisan Randy Weersing of Randy Weersing Furniture Designs turned a back-and-forth Z-pattern on its side to create a flexible seating “membrane” for the “ZigZag” ergonomic chair. Only three pieces of high-grade laminated maple plywood were needed to bring this eye-catching minimalist chair design to life.
The comfortable yet strong seat and back of this ergonomically sculpted chair were made using a unique alternate diagonal slicing technique.

Your back will thank you as it catches some Zs.

I’m pleased to see one of my chairs on your blog. I’d like to point out that the photos here show the prototype. Some more highly developed versions of the chair appear on my websites. These include pieces with arms, cushions, and configured as loveseat or settee. Also in development are a rocker and bar stools. Thanks CustomMade.
