Tossy worked together with Mike to create a very organic looking engagement ring that incorporated a variety of gemstones.
Final Design with colored stone #1
Because this ring has so much detail, the wax mold had to be carved in two steps. First to get the basic shape of the ring before adding any swirls and accents. Behind the wax are the pear shaped diamonds to be used on either side of the brilliant ruby.
Wax with stones #3
Wax with designs #4
Tossy then very carefully placed the smallest diamonds as well as two of the pear shaped diamonds into the wax in order to give Mike a better idea of how the finished piece will look.
Wax with diamonds #5
The brilliant ruby takes center stage in the final design.
FINAL #9
On this side of the ring, you can see the bezel set peridot as well as the vines that surround it. On the opposing side, there is a blue topaz rather than a peridot.
