It’s been just over a year since we launched the Project Board, lowered our Maker annual fee to just $1 and provided a whole new way for Buyers and Makers to connect. With more than $4 Million in cumulative Maker earnings, we couldn’t have done it alone.
So, thank you. Thanks to our incredibly talented Makers, thanks to our Buyers who choose to support independent artisans, thanks to our supportive investors, and thanks to every other individual who’s had a hand in our success so far.

Our compass rose wall art design was a concept design that was not a requested design but something we thought would make a nice art pattern for wall decor. Little did we realize it would become one of our most popular products to date. Custommade has been key in helping us not only create a product that has become a staple for our business but also to bring us customers that are excited and an absolute pleasure to work with.

I’m new to Custom Made, but can see the potential… it’s gratifying to KNOW that there are folks out there who want something special created by an artist, just for them (I thought that they were extinct)
I am so excited to have joined the team of Makers at CustomMade.com.
Having my clay art accessed and displayed thru CustomMade has brought me the most interesting and unique projects this past year, projects where the Buyers’ would have had a hard time finding me. Now, I don’t feel like a “small fish wallowing in a big sea” (of internet sales)!
Although we haven’t made the top five and probably never can Cutommade creators have generated much interest in my little isolated corner of the creative process. As one of the only sculptors of wearable wooden bow ties on the Internet their interview of me that landed on YouTube has already had 7,000 hits and generated some challenging, fun sales. At a time when my business was beginning to experience a slowdown within one major market portion of our business, custommade.com became the saving grace by offering us an excellent opportunity to enter the retail furniture market like never before. Since beginning in May with our first job, we have completed nearly a dozen projects that have “filled the void” left in our income. We are grateful and appreciative of all their efforts. This is an awesome way to keep in touch with CustomMade customers, makers and other fans. I’ve been involved with start ups for 35 years and this is one of the best methods I’ve ever seen. Most start ups don’t and wouldn’t do this sort of thing.
I’ve spoken with Adam and Scott recently. They struck me as contributors to a great place to work and buy stuff from. It would be great to meet Seth and Mike. Inevitably a company’s culture reflects its founders. Keep breaking the rules!

So glad to have discovered your incredible site / service, where I no longer have to settle for inferior retail shipped in from overseas at inflated prices…I can now link up with American craftsman, keep my money flowing “locally”, and get a great quality product at the same time. This type of service is the wave of the future, where consumers will more and more be the ones empowered to cut out the “big box” in favor of homegrown craftsmanship, vice the big boxes cutting out our incredible local “makers” in favor of imported stuff that yields larger profit margins but disregards our exceptional American craftsmen.
